🌏 Gratitude for Every Hello on #WorldHelloDay

Every “hello” has led to another, and each connection has added to the journey.

A Global Greeting of Gratitude

When ThankU.io began on Thanksgiving Day 2019, I had no idea it would grow into a global circle of gratitude, one “hello” at a time. What started as a small personal project to share beauty and thankfulness has become a tiny community that spans continents and cultures, all connected by a shared desire to put good into the world.

Every “hello” has led to another, and each connection has added something precious to this journey.

Sabrina: The First Hello

The first “hello” that shaped ThankU.io came from Sabrina Akhtar, our original platform designer. Sabrina helped give form to an idea that, at the time, lived mostly in my heart. With her creativity and clarity, she built the early framework that allowed gratitude to travel from my screen to yours.

She saw the potential before anyone else did, and because she said “hello,” the seeds of ThankU.io took root.

Abdullah: The Steady Hand Across Oceans

Then came Abdullah Zion, our talented webmaster from Bangladesh, the guardian angel who keeps the lights on behind the scenes. Abdullah’s patience, skill, and quiet determination have guided this project through every technical challenge.

His work reminds me that gratitude, like code, is a universal language. Even across oceans and time zones, kindness translates perfectly.

Kayla: The Spark of Fresh Ideas

Kayla Rebozzi, our marketing and design intern from Menlo College, brought youthful energy and fresh perspective. She helped refine our social presence, blending heart and professionalism. Kayla’s thoughtful creativity made ThankU.io’s visuals as warm as its message, a reminder that new generations carry gratitude forward in beautiful ways.

Victoria: Dancing with Light

Victoria Escobar
, beautiful Brazilian dancer and digital marketing guru living in Ireland, added rhythm to our message. Her movement, artistry, and global experience infused ThankU.io with grace, showing that joy and gratitude are languages everyone speaks fluently, whether through words or dance.

Chieri: Bridging Cultures with Heart

Chieri Abe, our gifted social media strategist and Menlo College intern from Japan, became both a collaborator and a friend. Together, we wrote and published deep reflections, including the Navigating the Tech Job Market article that united generations and perspectives.

Chieri’s sensitivity and insight helped refine ThankU.io’s tone and helped me build the Instagram account one person at a time, proving that gratitude can be expressed with both simplicity and depth, in any language.

Global Collaboration: A Symphony of Hellos

Even beyond the ThankU.io team, I’m blessed to continue mentoring and advising creative professionals around the world, including Octily Design Studio in Germany, a globally remote company whose designers, strategists, and dreamers remind me that collaboration knows no borders.

These relationships, born from a simple greeting, have blossomed into genuine friendships, proof that the world is smaller, kinder, and more connected than we sometimes believe.

The Power of a Hello

World Hello Day invites people everywhere to greet ten others, to build peace through personal connection. I love that idea. Every hello has ripple effects we may never see. It’s the simplest way to say, I acknowledge you. I see you. You matter.

Each of us has the power to start something beautiful with one word: Hello.

That’s how ThankU.io began, and that’s how it continues. One message, one image, one spark of connection at a time.

A Circle of Gratitude

Today, I give thanks for every person who has said hello to this project, every follower, every reader, every collaborator. And I give special thanks to the team whose kindness, talent, and heart have made it all possible.

From Bangladesh to Brazil, Japan to Germany, Ireland to California, together, we’ve created a quiet movement of gratitude that keeps saying “hello” to the world.
