Grateful for the Field Beyond

I’ll meet you there…

There is a place beyond right and wrong.
Beyond the need to be correct or to convince.
Beyond the push and pull of duality… where one side must win and the other must lose.

It’s not far away, but it takes courage to go there.
That place is still. It is sacred. It is simple. And it is always open.

Rumi called it “the field.”
And today, I find myself drawn there, not out of escape, but out of yearning.

Releasing the Tug-of-War

For much of my life, I saw the world in polarities. Just or unjust. Peaceful or violent. Right or wrong.  And I’ve worked passionately for what I believed was right, marching for civil rights, women’s rights, peace, and justice.

But lately, I’ve felt the pull toward something else.
A softer way. A freer way. A way that sees all beings as part of the same light.

The field beyond isn’t passive. It’s profound.
It’s where understanding replaces accusation.
Where silence says more than shouting ever could.
Where peace is not a goal, but a ground we choose to stand on.

One Light, No Other

There is no “other” in the field.
There is only one light, refracted in infinite forms.
When I live from that awareness, I no longer need to be right.
I need only to be kind. To be present. To be willing to listen and love.

This is not easy.
But it is freeing.

I no longer want to debate my way to peace.
I want to embody peace.
To live in a way that invites others into the field – gently, without judgment, without needing to agree.

Gratitude for the Invitation

Rumi’s invitation has been echoing in my heart: “I’ll meet you there.”
It reminds me that this field is not lonely.
It is filled with others who are weary of division, ready to return to truth.

I’m grateful for that field.
Grateful to have glimpsed it.
Grateful to practice living from it… one breath, one interaction, one blessing at a time.

I’ll meet YOU there. We are one.
